Pocket Watches
P.N. Wohlin was one of the first Swedish importers of Swiss movements and parts, particularly from Omega and IWC Schaffhausen, today old pocket watches from this era are often found with the brand P.N. Wohlin - Stockholm in the dial.
Wall Pendants
The company also produced clocks to be mounted on the wall. These clocks were status symbols among households in Stockholm in the first half of the 19th century, the style is referred to as "Gustaviansk" in Swedish.

The P.N. Wohlin Store
When P.N. Wohlin established his business in Stockholm in 1858 he chose the address of Stora Nygatan 25, located in the old town, just a stone throw away from the royal castle. Today the original store is closed, but you can still find an old facade watch on the building. Thankfully it now has a preservation order by the city of Stockholm, meaning it will hang there for many generations to see.
P.N. Wohlin - The History
Per Nilsson Wohlin founded his watch business in 1858, which quickly became a hybrid of own watchmaking and resale of premium brands.
He quickly established a reputation of great handcraft and reliable service. The business flourished under its own brand during the late 19th and early 20th century, but later came to purely focus on resale of Swiss brands.
The business was sold in various steps and at one point changed location to Biblioteksgatan 12, but was finally closed down in 2018 by the last owner.
